Lord Pennethorne is looking over last minute details and ensuring he has the tickets for their boat trip to England.

Rosemary is extremely excited to see her old aunt again, and to play her grand piano forte.
Goodbyes are always difficult, but it is only for a few months.
The Pennethorne's are always reluctant to leave the manor as it's such a cozy home, but they know it will be in good order upon their return.
The manor in it's resting place until the basement is finished.

What a beautiful house and adorable family. I will come back to take a better look of previous posts. The house is gorgeous and the new project very exciting!
ReplyDeleteThank you Alex! I look forward to "seeing" you again!
DeleteThis is truly one of the most beautiful dollhouses I have ever seen. Your attention to detail is phenomenal. I can hardly wait to watch the progression in the basement - - and to find out what the "surprise" will be! - Marilyn D., New Brunswick, Canada
ReplyDeleteThank you Marilyn for your kind comments! I see you're a fellow Canadian eh? LOL! We moved to Wisconsin about 20 years ago and just became citizens last year. Canada will always be home though!
DeleteThis is certainly exciting event for Lord and Lady Pennethorne and their staff as are the below stairs quarters under construction, but I hope that sleeping quarters for their faithful retainers will also under serious consideration.
ReplyDeleteYes, Elizabeth, we are adding sleeping quarters (with their own bathrooms!) to what will be the sub-basement. It would have been nice to have them on the upper floors of the manor, and had I known there would be so many occupants I might have added another upper floor! LOL! Oh well, hopefully they'll be comfortable anyway. ;-}
